To Plant A Garden Is To Believe In The Future

Can't hold me down! Last spring, my Mom & I planted a nice big flower bed in front of my house.  I mean, it was truly fancy! :) We had box shrubs, hostas, and a colorful assortment of perennials.  Long story short, our poor flower bed didn't make it!

So, this year we went a different route.  The potted route!  I left work a little bit early today, got a wild hair, and went and bought all these pots.  It was so peaceful sitting in my front yard, in the middle of the day, planting flowers!  I even saw the mailman (which I have never met before)!  I guess you could call it garden therapy?!?

I have to tell you, I feel pretty good about this!  I got flowers that were made for 4 hours or less of sun for my shady yard! This way if they die, I can just re-plant something in one pot instead of digging up the whole flower bed.  Not to mention, I found some pretty amazing pots at TJMaxx!

I may be way too excited for my little potted garden, but I am determined to keep these alive!
